What is the currency in Cancun?
The official currency of Mexico is Mexican Pesos (MXN), however US Dollar (USD) is widely accepted in Cancun and most pricing you will see will be in USD.
What will the weather be like in Cancun?
The weather in Cancun will be better than 99% of places in the United States in late January! You can expect daily high temperatures of approximately 80°F, with nighttime lows averaging 70°F.
Do I need a passport to go to Cancun?
A valid passport is required for United States citizens traveling to Mexico. Your passport must be valid for six (6) months after your return date (January 30, 2022 or later). The name on your airline ticket must match the name on your passport. If it does not match due to a marriage or divorce, you must either have your airline ticket issued according to the name on your passport, or have your passport corrected.

Prior to departure, it is strongly recommended that you make copies of your passport and keep one copy with you (in the safe in your resort sleeping room) and leave the other at home with a family member or friend. This will speed up the process of replacement or recovery in the event your documents are lost or stolen.
It is recommended to arrive at the airport two hours prior to flight departure time for international flights to ensure all your paperwork is in order.
How many attendees will be on this trip?
We are ready to welcome up to 30 guests on this inaugural trip. Is there an age restriction on this trip?
All women ages 18+ are invited to participate in Destination R3’s upcoming trip! The resort is designated adults only and the minimum age of 18 is a resort policy.
What COVID-related precautions are being taken at the resort?
AMResorts (the hotel management group of Secrets the Vine Cancun) has instituted their CleanComplete Verification practices – click here to learn more about their 360-Degree Safety & Hygiene Protocols.
How do I obtain the COVID-19 test that is currently required to reenter the US?
Upon check-in Secrets the Vine Cancun will schedule you for a complimentary COVID-19 test on-site at the resort. This test will meet all the US-citizen reentry requirements. The test results will be returned to you prior to departure from the resort so that you can have them in hand to present to immigration when you reenter the US.
Is airfare included in the package pricing?
Resort check-in time is: 3:00 p.m.
Resort check-out time is: 12:00 p.m.
Once your flights are booked please send a copy of the confirmation to DestinationR3@gmail.com. If you are arriving and departing on January 27 & 30, airport transportation is included in your package and will be booked based on the flight confirmation details provided.
If your flight details change after the confirmation is provided to Destination R3 you are responsible for updating us with new information so the airport transfer times can be adjusted.
How will payments be made for this trip?
Will my cell phone work in Cancun?
Are credit cards accepted at the resort?
However, we recommend that you contact your credit card company to advise them of the dates and destination of your international travel. You may also want to make copies of the front & back of your credit cards in the event they are lost or stolen. These copies should be kept separate from your physical cards (in the safe in your resort sleeping room) so that you will have access to them in the event of an emergency.
Finally we also recommend that you bring along a small amount of US Dollars in small denominations in case it is needed for street or beach vendors or for gratuities / tipping (see package inclusions for more details).
Is wi-fi available at the resort?
Is medical and trip cancellation protection insurance available?
Yes, trip insurance is available for an add-on cost. Destination R3 has partnered with Trawick International to provide medical and trip cancellation protection insurance. - Trip insurance must be purchased no later than 7 days after initial deposit is paid.
- Trip insurance is an optional add-on cost that will be in addition to Destination R3’s package cost. The purchase of and claims towards the insurance will be the traveler’s responsibility.
Can I upgrade my accommodations and/or extend my trip to more than three nights?
Yes! If you would like to upgrade your accommodations or extend your trip to more than three nights we are happy to help! Please indicate your requests during registration and the Destination R3 team will contact you with more details. All extensions and upgrades are subject to availability and additional costs. In the case of an extension, please do not book your flights until availability and cost are confirmed and provided to you for approval.
How do I find my airport transfer upon arrival at the Cancun Airport?
Upon arrival into Cancun, you will be required to go through Mexican immigration and customs. After exiting customs, you will pass all the “other” transportation and “time share” booths, until you reach the outside waiting area. You will be greeted by a transportation representative, holding a Destination R3 sign. They will assist you with your bags and direct you to the private transfer which will take you to the resort. Specific instructions and additional details will be provided in the information you will be sent prior to your trip.
Airport transfers will only be provided as part of the package for arrivals on January 27 and departures on January 30. If you choose to extend your stay at the resort airport transfers can be coordinated for an additional cost if needed.
What happens if my flight is delayed en route to Cancun?
Can I book other excursions and activities outside of the resort?
Yes, Destination R3 is offering one optional activity on Saturday, January 29 as an add-on option to the standard package (Jungle Canopy Ziplining). However if this isn’t what you are looking for we’ll be able to assist you with booking a wide variety of other options. For more information and pricing please reach out to the Destination R3 team.
What is the attire for the trip?
Is tipping additional throughout the trip?
The following gratuities have been pre-paid on your behalf: luggage handling at the airport, housekeeping services, bellman assistance at the hotel and all Destination R3 private functions. Additionally all tipping at resort restaurants, bars and pool service is covered as part of your package. However, if you feel you received exceptional service from a staff member and would like to extend additional gratuities, it is very much appreciated by the staff, although not required.
